Cookie Policy

This policy explains which cookies and similar technologies (such as local storage) Kryptonite uses, why, and how you can change your mind at any time.

Change or withdraw your consent at any time.

01What cookies are#

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Local storage is a similar browser feature that keeps data on your device and is not sent to our servers automatically. EU law (the ePrivacy Directive, implemented in Italy by art. 122 of the Privacy Code) lets us use technologies that are strictly necessary for a service you asked for without consent; anything else requires your prior consent.

02Strictly necessary#

These are always active because the Service cannot work properly without them. They are first-party (set by Kryptonite only).

Strictly necessary cookies and storage
NameTypePurposeDuration
better-auth.session_tokenHTTP cookie (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax)Keeps you signed in and authenticates your requests. Only set when you sign in.Up to 7 days, refreshed while you use the site; deleted on sign-out
better-auth.dont_rememberHTTP cookie (HttpOnly, Secure)Records that you chose not to stay signed in, so the session ends when you close the browser.Browser session
better-auth.stateHTTP cookie (HttpOnly, Secure)Protects GitHub / Google sign-in against cross-site request forgery. Only during a social login.A few minutes
kr-cookie-consentLocal storageRemembers your cookie choice as { v, necessary, analytics, ts } so we don't ask again on every page.Until you clear it; we ask again if this policy's categories change

On secure (HTTPS) connections the cookie names carry the __Secure- prefix, for example __Secure-better-auth.session_token. The anonymous daily quota for AI agents does not use cookies: it is computed server-side from a salted hash of the network address (see the Privacy Policy).

03Analytics (optional)#

We currently do not run any analytics cookies. If we introduce privacy-friendly usage statistics in the future, they will be listed in this table first and will load only if you switch “Analytics” on in the cookie settings. Analytics is off by default and rejecting it never limits your use of Kryptonite.

Analytics cookies
NameProviderPurposeDuration
—None at the momentAggregate, anonymous usage statistics (only after consent)—

04What we don't use#

  • No advertising, retargeting or social-media tracking cookies.
  • No profiling and no sale of browsing data.
  • No fingerprinting techniques to replace cookies.

05Third-party content#

Audio files are streamed from our storage provider (Vercel Blob) without cookies. If you choose to sign in with GitHub or Google, those providers may set their own cookies on their domains during the login flow, under their own policies. Links to external sites (such as vibedojo.it or cardinal.solar) are governed by those sites' policies.

06Managing your choice#

  • Use “Cookie settings” in the footer (or the button above) to reopen the banner, switch analytics on or off, or reject all non-essential technologies. Your new choice applies immediately.
  • You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from signing in.
  • Closing the banner is not a consent: until you choose, only strictly necessary technologies are used.
