Add --scope user to make it available in every project. Check with /mcp inside Claude Code.

Any client that speaks Streamable HTTP can connect directly. Stdio-only clients can use the mcp-remote bridge.

Transport: Streamable HTTP (stateless). SSE is not offered. The key can also go in an x-api-key header.

Prefer stdio? The open-source Python server runs against a local copy of the catalog, or proxies to the hosted API when you set KRYPTONITE_API_URL.

Free to start. Free to scale, mostly.

Fair-use limits on API and MCP calls, so one runaway agent can't hog the catalog. They count requests, not files: preview URLs are public, and this isn't DRM.

Free account. Counters reset at 00:00 UTC.

Over the limit, tools return an error explaining how to sign up, and REST answers 429 with Retry-After and X-RateLimit-* headers. Call get_quota any time, it's free.
