Acceptable Use Policy

Kryptonite is a shared library for humans and AI agents. This policy keeps it legal, safe and fast for everyone. It is part of our Terms of Service.

01Content you may not upload#

You may not upload, publish, request or distribute through Kryptonite any content that:

  1. infringes third-party rights — copyright and related rights (music, film, TV, game, podcast or streamer audio), trademarks, personality or publicity rights, trade secrets;
  2. is illegal, or promotes, facilitates or glorifies illegal activity, terrorism or violent extremism;
  3. is defamatory, threatening, harassing or abusive, or incites hatred, discrimination or violence against people or groups;
  4. is pornographic or sexually explicit;
  5. sexualises, exploits or endangers minors in any way — we report such material to the competent authorities;
  6. contains personal data of others (names, phone numbers, addresses, private conversations) without a lawful basis;
  7. is spam, unsolicited advertising, or misleading metadata (titles, tags or licences that misrepresent the sound).

02People and voices#

  • Don't upload recordings of identifiable people without their consent.
  • Don't upload AI-cloned or synthetic voices that impersonate a real person, or any deepfake audio intended to deceive. Clearly labelled parody is allowed only where lawful and where it doesn't use protected recordings.
  • Don't impersonate other users, creators, brands or Kryptonite itself.

03Files and security#

  • No malware, exploits, polyglot files or data hidden inside audio (steganography, appended payloads).
  • Don't tamper with files to bypass our checks. Every upload is re-encoded and may be scanned; tampering leads to termination.
  • Don't probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the Service without our written permission. Found a bug? Email us — we appreciate responsible disclosure.

04Using the platform and the API#

  • Don't evade quotas or rate limits (multiple accounts, rotating IPs, shared or resold API keys).
  • Don't scrape, crawl or bulk-download the catalog, or mirror it elsewhere.
  • Don't use Kryptonite to build a competing directory, dataset or clone, or to train AI models on the catalog without permission.
  • Don't overload, disrupt or attack the infrastructure (DoS, request floods, abusive automation).
  • Don't use the Studio to generate unlawful, harmful or deceptive content.

05Agents and automation#

AI agents are welcome — that's what Kryptonite is for. The agent's operator (you) is responsible for its behaviour. Configure your agents to respect quotas, back off on 429 errors, use the licence information returned with every sound, and never present “Rights unverified” sounds as cleared for commercial use. See Terms, section 5.

06Enforcement#

Depending on severity, we may remove content, hide sounds pending review, revoke API keys, throttle or block traffic, suspend or close accounts, and report illegal content to the authorities. Where required by the Digital Services Act we give a statement of reasons and you can ask us to review the decision by replying to our message.

07Reporting#

Use the Report button on any sound (copyright, malware, offensive content or other), or email hello@kryptonite.gg. For copyright claims, see the Copyright & DMCA Policy.
